Tejek - RE: "I am thinking of upgrading to the K6-2+; did you have any idea how much it will cost?"

Me too. I would guess a 533 or 550MHz one will cost $167 "in $1000 unit quantities" like the previous low-cost AMD processors have been when they were announced. They almost always cost less when you check the prices at Pricewatch.

However, I have no idea how long it will take to be able purchase one. The K6-2 533 came out at the end of November and it STILL isn't available at Pricewatch. From what has been posted on this thread, the only way to get it is in a Compaq system or through HSN.
