Well, I don't want to speak outta school Tony, and I know chip architecture is your gig, but my reference was more toward the nature of RISC -v- CISC. twister doesn't understand 'scalability' and that Intel is at a natural disadvantage. I was responding to the bolded part, which says that Intel is at a natural disadvantage re scalability. Intel runs Unix variants and Linux. Is it at a natural disadvantage re scalability when running those? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think so. It's when Intel chips run Microsoft oSs that they are scalability challenged. Your Intel guys used to make a great platform for BBSs. British Broadcasting Systems? Bulletin Boards? I didn't realize you were an emotionally attached Wintel cheerleader to the outright exclusion of facts. Getting a little testy, huh? Your SUNW board here, like so many others, can get that way when a dropper-in doesn't root-root-root for the home team.
