There probably is a maximum penalty for contempt of court in Texas. That's where you need to look. But as for the particulars of what constitutes contempt of court, I suggest to you that it's measured by the Chancellor's nose.

This does not sound like the bold fellow who wishes he could spend a few days in jail for not being a Christian, or whatever the cause was. Call a local attorney or the court -- this does not meet the standard of, ".....mysteries without any clues."
