LOL! Its happened to me as I was helping a sweet little elderly gal vacate the cab, while parked in the middle of a residential street, snow falling in a bitter cold. As I helped her exit she shoved down the lock while trying to get her feet. As my mind was just beginning to grasp what was occurring, she somehow took hold of some residual strength, and clunk went the door with a heart sinking finality. I didn't have the heart to tell her what had really happened when I used her phone to call the tow truck. It wouldn't have done either of us any good. "Well, I guess that can happen to the best of drivers", she told me sweetly, as she lovingly petted the vicious looking little 3-pounder she held on her lap. (I know how you must have felt as you helplessly tried each door and window to confirm that they were inoperable, all being shut tighter than a nun's habit)!
