"What was Rodrigue like?" Happy to be who and what he was, I'd say. Easy as talking to a guy working at a gas station in Breaux Bridge or Abbeville.

My own roots pass through N.O. and Grand Coteau. The sound of a South Louisiana voice is music.

At time of first meeting I could have afforded the painting I was looking at. Definitely a splurge, but I gave it a thought. Then, I thought, do I need to be driving across the country and back with a five figure picture in the back seat (tell you the truth, I think I could have got it for six or seven).

Re the sketch -- strictly a memory thing. Not sure I'd sell such unless my children were starving. In fact, I got one artifact (gift) here that could make moot a mortgage on the house we're building. Unthinkable.

Enjoy your visit in February. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Thanks for responding.

FWIW, Pack' had to do what it did today. No sympathy from me. Been crying in Bronco Beer all season. Here's to next year!
