Dear Tom : I hope Lou Holtz will turn it around..any coach needs to stay long enough until his freshman recruits are seniors.. Frank Beamer went 2 and 8 not too many years ago and here he is playing for the National Championship this year. I have to watch myself closely or I can become that older son..I found this out many years ago. It usually comes about when the Lord says something like "I wasn't too pleased with your attitude yesterday " my answer "LORD...ME !! are you serious ??. Not ME !! But He is always right, so I have to ask Him to adjust my attitude and He does. Case in point. I used to hate to go see sick people in the hospital until my father had 3 major surgeries and spent many weeks in hospitals. The clincher was when he was in the neuro--intensive care facility at the UVA Medical College, and I saw all these people paralyzed from the neck down, and one young doctor that had a bad stroke and could not move.( actually vegetative )My heart was so touched I started going from room to room just to find someone I could cheer up. Now , I regularly do hospital visitation, it is one of my favorite ministries. God Bless you and may the days of grace follow you all the days of your life.....IN Christ.gregor
