You think biometrics are involved here? Seems logical.

WASHINGTON, Jan 4, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) announced today an agreement with ChoicePoint(TM)
Inc. (NYSE:CPS), selecting the company as a nationwide provider of
online public records information.

The FBI selected ChoicePoint after an exhaustive six-month review of
the nation's four top information providers. The relationship covers
agents and analysts in the field and at resident offices throughout the
country.

The agreement comes on the heels of ChoicePoint's deal with the
Department of Justice signed earlier in 1999. Through these and other
engagements, ChoicePoint serves the public records information needs of
all levels of federal, state and local law enforcement and government
agencies. ChoicePoint will provide the FBI with public records
information to assist in locating assets such as real and personal
property, identifying civil and criminal court records, and locating
individuals.

"We constantly work with our law enforcement customers to build into
our products the information they need," commented Steve Rubley,
director of federal law enforcement for ChoicePoint. "That's why our
products speak to the unique and specific needs of our customers. It's
quite rewarding when an agency like the FBI places its confidence in
your system and the team behind it. In this line of work results aren't
measured in profits or balance sheets, but in terms of the safety and
security of all Americans."

ChoicePoint is the leading provider of decision-making intelligence to
businesses, individuals and government agencies. Through the
identification, retrieval, storage, analysis and delivery of data, the
company serves the information needs of the property and casualty
insurance market, the life and health market, and the business and
government markets, including Fortune 1000 corporations, asset-based
lenders and professional service providers, and federal, state, and
local governments.
