MNI--- One of your more excellent posts!As a confessed Kohl fan, it may be allowed for me to diminish his alleged ingenuity to the point where I say that his most important, and maybe best, decision was to choose continuity with Schmidt's foreign policies. Schmidt was the best leader in the Western alliance until Thatcher, and Kohl built on his foundation. This was of real benefit to the reinvigoration of the alliance under Reagan....
