Cutter & Buck (CBUK: news, msgs) reported second-quarter net income inline with expectations at 29 cents a share, but cut its estimates for the third quarter and fourth quarter. The apparel maker said that due to "recent economic uncertainty" in the U.S., Cutter & Buck is realigning its business plan to "ensure that we can operate on our existing credit facilities and internally generated funds for at least the next 18 months." During the third quarter, earnings are expected to be 5 cents to 7 cents a share on revenue of $40.5 million to $42.5 million. Full year 2001 earnings are expected to $1.07 to $1.11 a share. Analysts currently expect third-quarter earnings of 17 cents a share, on average, and 2001 earnings of $1.35 a share. www2.marketwatch.com
