Yes, I agree that QCOM is a special stock, but short term is my life at the moment, like it or not. Unless I buy LEAPS and sell shorter term options, I am very concerned with short term pricing on the underlying. For the past two months I have created spreads with the next months call options, a riskier but higher ROI move.

That is why I asked the question about how good TA is for predicting downturns - if it is good, I would like to understand it so I can take the necessary precautions.

I'm still very interested in anyone's answer to that question.
