LOL. We have a pretty good system in our office for avoiding that problem. Recently, however, the system failed. I had a Federal case reversed on appeal. We later received around 3 sets of documents, which all looked like the same thing--remittitur,etc. Well, buried in there was an order setting a status conference. I was on my way to the office one Monday and received a distressed call telling me I was late for Federal Court. Co-defense counsel was the only one there and was looking for me. Plaintiff's attorney also missed the appearance. No harm, no foul though. The judge just said to come back later. That was a better reaction than jail time.<g> M
