NEW DELHI: The Chennai-based Satyam Infoway, the largest private Internet service provider and a portal, introduced its "Ask Our Expert" panel by launching i.k.gujral@satyamon-line.com. I.K. Gujral, the former Prime Minister of India and Foreign Affairs analyst, is the first in Satyam Online's "Ask-The-Expert" panel. Satyam Infoway managing director R. Ramraj announced this at an interactive session with the media. Speaking at the occasion, he said, "The Internet is increasingly becoming the most accepted medium of communication transcending all barriers of age, profession and expertise."

At i.k.gujral@satyamon-line.com, Satyam Online's users will get an opportunity to find out Mr Gujral's invaluable views on subjects ranging from National politics to foreign affairs. "The fact that a person of Mr Gujral's stature and calibre has decided to go online further highlights the growing significance and the critical role Internet can play in bringing people together by bridging the geographical constraints," Mr Ramraj added.

According to Mr Gujral, " Being on the net provides one with instant access to opinions and allows one an opportunity to share ones views with the rest of the world. The net today is evolving as a key information tool and I am thankful to Satyam Online for helping me use it." Users can now post their queries as well as read his speeches delivered on different forums. "A foreign policy for India" by Inder Kumar Gujral, published by the Govt of India, is available for readers only on Satyamonline.com.

Welcome back Mohan... thanks for posting all of these extremely informative articles. Please keep it up.

I think that the announcement of serwiz.com is a very significant development. It harnesses India's singlemost valuable resource, which is its intelligent and educated population. It then provides these resources to the rest of the world... I think that this model is very interesting and can easily dwarf the ISP revenues that SIFY could possibly derive in the future.
