There are some improvements on quicken from a few years ago. Everything is easier, including input.

Here are my favorite ways of saving time:

1. I download my statement (at any time) from my bank's website (union planters bank)
2. I don't write many checks anymore, I use Quicken's credit card, which records every transaction I make and categorizes them.
3. I use E*Trade, and quicken downloads that statement everytime I sign on through quicken.

Hope this helps.
