Gene, the trouble is the excesses are far worse than 87 but I do expect any severe decline will quickly bounce back due to PPT and Fed intervention. What I expect to be different is the next time (whenever that is) the aftermath will not be as harmless due to greater excesses in debt, valuations,poor quality of earnings, public participation, trade deficit, derivatives, record low cash balances as a percentage of securities outstanding et. al. The Fed has used its tricks to perpetuate the bubble rather than keep them in reserve for a bad time. TL & EV is only a matter of time. ho ho ho Mike

I do remember, however, had you bought any of the Dow 30
