dmp: Well, I have been roping some of the bottle rockets all year and selling a little early before the arch back to earth begins. A few I wish I had held onto longer-term, but no regrets...this has been a great year for me with most profits coming from the manic rides up and down...<g> I have been cautious much of this year with the retirement and longer-term portfolios as the underlying market has been weak.

My technicals since September began to signal a break was coming. I expected it to begin before the end of the year, say from November forward. Then the price/volume action during Nov/Dec revealed a major set up was in progress. Originally I was early and allowed my fundamental speculation as to the reason (Y2K flight) to cloud my interpretation by looking past some of my own indicators. That has always proven the wrong thing to do. Fortunately I don't do it often.

I would be careful buying the dips this time around, too soon! Now having said that...Clinton is in the process of announcing Greenspan's re-appointment...buy the dip??? <gggg>

Regards,
LG
