I was suggesting announcing a 4-1 split when the stock was trading at $320 instead of the current situation of 2-1 at $320 and then (1 week later) 2-1 at $160

One thing I forgot to mention is that the stock was only at around 115 when the last split was announced. It made no sense to announce a 4 for 1 when the stock is only at 115. It ran up a lot in the last quarter. The split was a long process since it needed shareholder approval. It is not easy to CHANGE splits from 2 for 1 to 4 for 1. You are better off just announcing a new one.

Were you heavily invested in margin or calls on Dell?

Sorry to hear about last year. Nice thing is there are always second chances in the market.

I had DELL too--straight stock. I got out in stages, which in retrospect was purely emotional, not sensible.
