Yes!!! well said.

They ship about 1M/qtr or so.

And average ASPs are in $1500 range considering most server guys are going with larger cache options.

These provide perhaps over $1Bn/qtr of Intels profits or greater than 50%.

Now if only our AThlon friends could do a server chipset.

I don't believe Xeon shipments somehow made up for Intel allegedly misrepresenting the P858 ramp. It's a very convenient answer though.

BTW, I am certainly not going to apologize for Xeon. I am more than pleased Intel has this product in their portfolio.
