Here is a thought that some might want to discuss who have knowledge in the tech sector:

What I'm wondering is if alot of the earnings growth in the tech's is largely due to the huge surge in spending due to the Y2K hype(100 Billion in the US and 1 Trillion worldwide). Now that the technical upgrading of equipment and software is over and fears of "downtime" are abated, will we start to see missed earnings estimates ( overvalued companies )or have analysts already taken this into account?
