RE:Patrick-Longer term-CPQ is "toast"!- ML knows this fact of life better than anyone-ML is most likely moving out of CPQ in the face of it's apparent support-"pumping it for past six months" and is probably positioning themselves in DELL after denigrating it for the past 10 years.wbm

I assume you are talking about PC market share. My guess is that CPQ will maintain their current overall PC share or maybe grow it a little, on a units basis, with much of the growth in the consumer space. DELL will also continue to gain share, and at a greater rate. If DELL's consumer initiative is successful, they could be the #1 overall vendor maybe by 3Q, if they have to do it all on commercial PC share they may not be #1 overall until late 2000 or early 2001.
