To answer your questions....

1. I hadn't intended to sell a lot of stocks today, but the long term portfolio thing doesn't seem like a good idea right now.

2. I think the most important skill you can develop is to know yourself. I am an impatient person and like constant action so am quite comfortable trying to squeeze a point or so out of some issue.

3. The Brown account has 5$ commissions on most of my day trades. A full day of trading cost me about 75$ yesterday. Peanuts.

Hope this helps.

Darrel those that jump in and out are of the discipline that
if you can make 500 dollars a day it adds up to a large sum---regards commission, they all use on-line,so it enables them to trade often more cheaply--a trader, such as Jeff who can stick to a 500 dollar a day(averaging good days from bad,for sure) it works---for me,i don't do online, and churning for me is just too hectic--it is all a matter of taste--me,i best be called a position trader who will go for a momentum quickie when i see one--all kinds on this thread,Max
