that volume typically occurs as a ratio of the prior peak volume

the ratio lies between Greek PHI and PI/4
Greek PHI is the natural "golden ratio" from architecture and nature
PHI is also the root behind the Fibonacci sequence
PHI = 0.61803...

PI is the ratio of circle circumference to diameter
PI = 3.14159...

and lastly, if you believe that, I got some Tennessee oceanfront property to sell you

real answer is "somewhat less volume"
