What worries me, is the impact to KMAG/HMTT/RDRT if WDC does find itself against the wall. Especially HMTT. Shoot first and ask questions later is likely to be the outcome. If KMAG finds it's numero uno client unable to order platters, I'd expect some mean price competition as they struggle for survival. This assumes platters are somewhat interchangeable after qual cycles. I have memories which suggest that KMAG's capabilities are behind the curve- but those memories may predate divesture of WDC's platter capabilities to KMAG. Any comments out there regarding the 'fungability' of the platter indy products?
