Well, how would you choose to present a case where somebody attended a sporting event in a box seat as well as accepting somebody's expiring frequent flyer miles?

Would you say that person X has accepted 3K in bribes, because the retail price for the box was $2K, and the full price of the flight taken was $1K even though nobody pays full price for airfares and frequent flyer miles are worth even less than that (and have no value, realistically) - same with an unattended seat at a sports event? When somebody is accused of accepting 3K in bribes - I want it to be 3K! Otherwise its deceptive journalism, imo. I really think that most people who are unfamiliar with corporations that buy these boxes at different stadiums might think attending some sports event in a box is some great bene. The corps that buy these write them off, its all funny money - it may be corrupt to accept, ok, but why not state the amt as the true valuation.... well, because, the box seats are really worth maybe $50. and the frequent flyer miles, say $100. so thats $150. of bribery and that doesn't make much of a story does it?

At a management meeting last year, they were discussing conflicts of interest, and said that employees could not invest in other airlines. Dan asked if it was ok if his wife was buying puts on the competition. After they all laughed, they had to debate it and the verdict was- well- she's betting on their going down, so.....
But Dan told me to stay away from any airline-related stocks, anyway.

he is VERY careful about taking anything at all, but we do get sports tickets from corporations. A lot of times, no one wants them, and they just call the department and say, Anybody want? So I guess we would be guilty?
