I think today was the one-day crash that will satisfy the bears. Earnings should be great, economy great, Xmas sales great, inflation very low, global recovery strong. And many major sectors like drugs etc. have not even participated in recent rallies. Tech high-fliers have fallen and may fall more but they are also the most desired stocks therefore even a short-term internet stock crash will bring about rapid bargain-hunting. Happens every time. Try not to be so pessimistic. I see DOW 12000 within 3 weeks.
