P.,

Not only does it meet with my approval, but it's even logical.

My interpretation of your original post was obviously faulty.

All the same, initial reaction to the 50Gb seems positive. There are 2 more of them in the field than I thought Pearce told us were going to go out this early.

I probably misinterpreted PF as well. Because to put the switch into a lab trial, it seems to me that each of BT and SBC would have to have at least 2 each or they'd have nothing to communicate with at 50 Gb/sec.

It's not important enough to me to put in a call to John L.

FWIW,
Ian.

Peppe, now you are entering the realm of fogs and mists
with mystic overtones:

If NN goes back to the teen level because of a general market sell-off

You 've also pre-empted Abby Joseph Cohen.

Is there some way we can keep your thoughts on more
concrete, if not scientific, :-)
grounds?

Let us leave " feelings " out too

But I have a feeling we'll see the teens before we'll see a buy-out.

As much as medicine is an art and a science
I am trying to emphasize the science part as much as possible.

Bottom line: can you come up with something more
concrete than your feelings for this thread to
hang their hat on?

:-)

Ian,

If NN goes back to the teen level because of a general market sell-off, then I'll buy back in. If NN falls on its own, then I'll have to look at the reason
why.

I hope this clarification meets with your approval.
