Ah, even scarier....50% of street crime is perpetrated by about 6% of males between the ages of 15 and 40. The demographic is so significant that, despite the prattling about prison as a "crime college", it has been observed that those released in their 40s show a marked drop in violent or high risk crimes, although some do, indeed, continue to pursue less aggressive criminal ventures. In other words, warehousing works, from the standpoint of public safety.....
