RE>>Are you sure trusting in flesh for salvation is a waste?<<Absolutely sure... as sure as I am that Jesus is Lord. Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit , and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh . NO CONFIDENCE = NONE. Do you think that the "carnal receiving" of the Lord's Sacrament could do anything good? Except a man is born by the Power of the Holy Ghost he cannot receive or please God at all. Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Men who are not chosen cannot please God even if they take the Lord's Supper a million times or be baptized for the rest of their lives! Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: ( BV - Gift of faith not carnal belief as with the wicked in Matthew 7:22 ) Men who take "the ordinance" who cannot even see the kingdom drink to themselves judgement and not blessing: I take the Lord's Supper to "remember being saved" not to get saved! Luke 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 1 Cor 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. Those who take Christ's Supper unworthily do themselves no favour being in the wicked flesh and not in the Spirit. They add rather Damnation to themselves and there is no benefit at all in the Bread nor the Wine because it is only effectual "spiritually" by Christ to the Elect. =======It is the "Body" of Christ - ONLY TO - those who ARE the "Body of Christ" ======= The rest who eat are judged!
