Teflon, Congrats on the birth of your son. I am very happy for you.

I remember you used to toss names like GMST and SFE around. I bought and sold these long time ago(before the big gains). Should have listened to you and held for the timeframes you had indicated. They sure took off afterwards. Great picks.

I had great success with the fibre optics sector, especially JDSU which should do well going into earnings and another stock split in March.
I am just waiting for it to be added to the S and P 500 before selling any of it. After that expected occurence (IMHO), i will probably sell 1/3 or more. Expecting it to take off the way Yahoo did when that stock was added.

MSFT looked great today. It is still safer than the high fliers in the event of a severe correction (which i doubt will happen). I am probably going to make a sizable holding in the near term. I have sold it in the past since it is in retirement account with no tax consequences on selling. Now i ready to put some cash back into it.

Tef, Congratulations on your Christmas present! And good luck on keeping your life in focus. I've got one little one, and it's a full time job in itself. Finding time for investing leaves me about two hours to sleep, and that's when the baby is crying!

Bill

Teflon, congratulations on your new born son. With all the right calls you've been making he won't have to worry about money any time soon. Nice to see your posts again. Keep them coming and good luck to you in 2000.
