This could be the main source of revenue if you consider that fully 75% of the world will never have land based systems. As GSTRF builds out the system the roaming minutes will get cheaper. Data service? It's my understanding that the system is capable of data but the voice service needs to be rolled out first.

... and the beauty of it is that this includes revenues from systems using the dominant digital wireless technology in the world ... GSM ... which has a subscriber base 4 times as large as CDMA. Mobile handsets in strict compliance with GSM Phase 2+ (ETSI) standards were available the day G* launched commercial. Major funding is coming from some of the largest GSM carriers in the world.
