Re: Intel missing numbers Ted- I think part of the problem in this whole discussion, frankly, and sincerely meaning no disrespect, is that AMD people are used to pie-in-the-sky earnings predictions from management, while Intel people are used to more subdued prognostications from their management. Having said that, I will admit that Intel has not blown away management's subdued guidance the last couple quarters. My point is that the PERCEPTION of Intel having missed numbers the last two quarters is largely due to the fact that the guidance was only MET and not EXCEEDED, as in most prior quarters. I agree that the street perception is all that counts, at least in the short term. That perception is certainly that Intel missed their numbers, largely for reasons discussed above. Frank
