Jesus loves you and all of us, Chris -- even the worst of us. God has given all of us the option of choosing our own way. Let God's will be done. Please.

Mike

Chris, so humble of You omitting the final 't', have I got good news for You!

First, I must say that my dearest thoughts lie with You in Your valiant battle against the pagans, heathens, barbarians - and probably cannibals - on this God Damned Thread.

Anyway, here's what took place not more than an hour ago:

I was chatting with G - that's my pet name for Our Lord, it's sort of a funny phonic pun-thing that works audibly.

It had to do with this week's Times Cryptic (on-line) Crossword Puzzle. Clue #17 Down, to be precise. I cannot bring myself to repeat the Clue - it is too unseemly!

I asked G if there is any promise left - or if the perfidies of our press and politicians had finally pushed us all into the poop pile of perdition. (That the NYTimes would publish a Clue such as #17 Down!)

Well, G read the Clue, looked straight at me and said, "G (that's His play-name for me, even though His isn't phonetic), G..." He said, "I don't get it. Please explain."

When the Lord requests, we have no option but to answer - or else He'll send us squealing to Hell in an eye-blink.

So I began explaining the unseemly Clue #17 Down to Him.

He caused me to pause and repeat certain parts of my explanation a good number of times - He was quite intense.

Finally, He asked me to tell Him if He had understood the Clue correctly, so He replayed me explanation back to me in His Own Beautiful Words. "Did I get it right, G," He asked.

"You did, G," I replied.

"It sort of gets to Me," He said, smiling a Saintly Sort of Smile. "I, Myself, may now be silently sinning and sacrificing My Own Salvation..."

Chris, HERE'S THE PART YOU WILL LOVE!

I told Him, "Fear not, G. Doubt not." And I mentioned You, Chris land!!! I told Him that You would be able to set Him back on the Righteous Path.

AND HE PROMISED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU!!! LATER TODAY!!!

Is that glorious? You can Save the Savior - and pay no further mind to the trash that treads this thread!

Must run now. Boy, are You in for and awesome one-on-one with Him!!! (Tell me how it comes out, ok?)

George

PS: FYI, in Your post, I believe you made a typo, two times. You wrote (um...ladies) when I feel you meant (yum...ladies), didn't You? You left of the 'y'. G.

I don't have any problems with Jesus, Chris, as I understand his life and his essential message. My issues with Christianity are with how some of Jesus' followers have behaved over the last 2000 years, and especially all of the killing and narrowmindedness and hatred which have resulted, hurting millions of people. I have said many times before that I believe Jesus, who we need to remember was NOT a Christian, would he horrified by what has been done by some people in his name.

And that would definitely include you! You radiate absolutely nothing of love or tolerance, and continuing to post to someone who has requested that you stop is simply one more example of that.

We really don't know much of the real Jesus. The tales told later were definitely exaggerated. Would he have been a gentleman to those who mocked him? I think probably he would have; he is portrayed as gentle and unassuming for the most part. But certainly you are not carrying his spirit in any way, and countless posts by dozens of people over the years have tried to point this out to you. You are doing more harm than good for Jesus. Is that what you want?
