OSX down 1.14% and XOI up .95 in first 15 minutes of trading on lower than expected API numbers. Looks like a good call S. O. B. at least for the last 15 min.

Maria B of CNBC reiterates Schroeders Overweight Oil - call on her morning update

That WILL be noticed - doesn't allways trigger a flood of funds, but starts the research & the conversations moving...

I think we could see strong buying on the next (today ?-tomorrow?) 2-4% dip, but I would not load on margin as no one can argue logically with HAL's downgrade & the poor earnings to be reported into a crude correction; that we can not re-visit OSX 68-72; that is the only place I would margin service drillers is near OSX 70...

Some E&P's - like EOG - are seeing a strong, Institutional Appetite for Size on any & all dips subs $15 - EOG tops my list - my #1 buy sub $15 today... XTO at $8, a break of $8 is next... UPR sub $12 third & hoping for FLC in the $10's...

O/T re: Vick of Va Tech

BGambler, yes - Vick has a bright of a future as any young player I have seen lately. I may get a Satellite dish - just to watch this guy next year - I was impressed. - and "Blacksburg" aint a bad place to visit - was there as a young waif passing thru during College Age - the fine ladies of Bama', Ole Miss', Miami, Texas - couldn't hold a candle to the Ladies Of Blacksburg imho.... memories....~

From David Malpass/Bear Stearns

We expect oil prices to trend downward as demand growth disappoints, supply growth responds to high prices, and OPEC falters. This has negative implications for heavily indebted Venezuela, but positive implications for world inflation, and therefore, financial market performance.

CAVEAT - he is an economist - so give or take 100%
