In the story found at this link, globalsources.com , they say in reference to Taiwan firms, "The market can look forward to a deluge of GSM phones in the second quarter as more than a dozen local firms will be announcing their first such model then."

Chaz, Taiwan's makers will leave no market segment unserved. They will not leave money on the table for Europe's GSM makers.
