unsure what reduced option premium meant, even now
we are talking about LEAPS having similar premium as Junes
and Junes/Aprils having not much more than Jans
still unsure
both hands free again

The premiums disappeared because of the split. A 10% move now takes you through only (approx) 1/4 of the strikes, so options $30 out aren't as interesting.

The option premiums are pretty much set by their intrinsic value, although one has to be careful on thinly traded contracts with low open interest.
