Yes, this was the press release I was thinking of and while it caused quite a stir at the time, I feel based on conversations with General Magic that it was a staged event to promote the AutoPC. Asking GM about the potential, they said in reality they could not provide this service and they had no program in pplace to develop it.

So, yeah. It was a killer PR and it perhaps totally miss leading. I really wish it were true, and I bought stock at the time because the implications were amazing to me, but then they backed off this story and it died the death of many other pie in the sky opportunities.

Still waiting for eBay? Still waiting for Intuit? Still waiting for Wireless Knowledge? Still waiting for Qwest? Still waiting for 11 telco trials? Still waiting for something more from Bell South? Yeah, still waiting. How long will we be waiting for Onstar?

Can I suggest you try to contact Harel Kodesh, Vice President, Microsoft Corp. Call Microsoft and ask them to put you through to this guy. Ask him how the program is going and when we can expect new products. That would be the only way to learn anything, assuming he'll talk to you.

Regards,

Mark
