Do you have an opinion on the security of DSL vs. cable modem? I have heard cable is less secure due to the "node-sharing (??)" topology, but I have no idea if this is true. Call Time Warner, and they say any 24/7 connection is less secure than dialup since you are "always open". Guess that is a way of fudging responsibility. Occasionally you run across one of these horror story articles, which opens up with a closeup about Jane, who woke up to find 11 people crawling around her computer screen. Sounds like the Day of the Triffids. Now that Y2K is past, perhaps security will give ISPs their day of reckoning.

ahhaha,

I checked it out too. Sounds like the same kind of annoying Geocities pop-up garbage window.
