It was not prophetic, just a misunderstanding,
mostly on your part. Real application-based
benchmarks cannot be simply recompiled under
the new Intel SPEC-compiler, as
you tend to belive, due to lack of support
for most sophisticated and widely used API -
Windows API. When the Intel toy-compiler will be
used in industrial applications, we can return
to this conversation.
