Thanks for the input. I don't happen to agree with you, though in this case. This stop was set pretty much at the low of the most recent consolidation pattern and I was willing to live with that on this stock since it does swing a lot. I did this in the morning before it was clear the market was having a bad day. Next major support looked to be in the thirties. I didn't want to lose another $2000 in the unlikely event that much of a drop occurred. It seemed like it must have just hit 48.88 for just a second which makes me wonder if 47.88 would have been hit too if I had set it there instead. It's no big deal. I bought the ticket and lost a few bucks. I was just wondering if a measly 200 shares motivates the MMs or was it just coincidence it quickly hit my stop and went back up.
