LOL! Well, I am not a Christian, but a theist, and a Christian sympathizer, as I have made clear to the regulars on the threads I frequent. Therefore, it would be difficult for me to be a hypocrite or fake, although I suppose I could still be a fool. Actually, I am motivated by more than the love of applause (I will not deny liking applause too, please note). I spend at least part of my time on threads like this defending Christians (and other believers), trying to show that have legitimate political gripes, are not bigots, and need not be feared. Then you come along, and make a monkey out of me by showing the face of the "ugly fundie". You make it that much harder to defend evangelicals and fundamentalist to non- Christians or those of other denominations........

To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable:
10
"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
11
The Pharisee stood up and prayed about [1] himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector.
12
I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
13
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
14
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." -----The Gospel of Luke, chapter 18
