GTW shortfall due to processor inventory- if true, then demand was OK but couldn't meet demand. They went on to say they will have supply problem fixed and are comfortable with Q1 and year 2000 estimates.

Barbara, we may take a hit tomorrow, but I like CPQ's position at this point. GTW admitted they couldn't get enough P3 processors to sell into their "sweet spot" pricing line. (I think they said it was $999 to $1299). CPQ, as we know, has the AMD chips which they are selling plenty of. Read the Compaq thread here on SI if you haven't already. Will make you feel better.
