KL, i am certainly open to the possibility of a shift from overvalued to undervalued areas in the stock market. in fact, it seems to be happening already. nevertheless, i have problems imagining a benign unwinding of the bubble. that has never happened before, and i let history be my guide in this case. note that even in a crash, and/or devastating bear market with the attendant economic consequences, certain sectors and stocks will flourish. and most likely it will be the ones that are shunned now. one must not forget that many stocks have already suffered through a bear market. however, since most of them have relatively small market caps, they have little influence on 'the market' in terms of the indices.

regards,

hb
