Globalstar satellite phone -- spoke with Jon today on his G* phone. Perfect reception; as good as a normal wired phone. The quality is definitely there.

Now we just have to get lots of subscribers, and the cost down to say 50 cents a minute, and G* will have big business.

The demand for this global service is woefully underestimated. G*s problem is not the price of the phone...It is the demand for the phone ....IMHO there will be (may already be)a shortage of phones....they won't be able to produce them fast enuf and consequently this will impact revenues....$1.50 is not a problem...
