OT. OT. Thanks for clarifying or better yet, correcting my statement and posting that link. I will read it after I send this reply. Sometimes you forget that you are posting on a public forum when you get to talking about things. I characterized this awful incident very badly in my sentence, even though I know it very well. I should have said his plane got engulfed in fire on that carrier. Good grief. I certainly WAS NOT trying to give the impression that Mr. McCain was at fault. He is a man I pretty much admire for all the things he endured in the service of his country. I was a Navy man.

Yaacov and I were discussing other candidates for President besides Young Bush, as he called him. And you know all those things they are saying about Mr. Bush. When I was mentioning Mr.McCain being pretty wild in his Youth I was talking about his own statements when he talks about being a party animal, being more interested in girls and the beach in FLA back then. I guess most of us were wild when it comes to that. I certainly was NOT talking about his plane on that carrier or over Hanoi. I guess it was a pretty stupid sentence when you come right down to it. I put a big part of his life into that sentence.

I am sure you saw the story they did on his life. They described the incident of that awful fire and how he was shut down and what happened next. BTW. After that fire he was told to take it easy for a while but he wanted to go on that mission to Hanoi since his dead comrades could not go and I am sure all of us know the rest.

In any case. Yaacov wanted to know why we can't find another candidate for the Republicans. And I was mentioning Mr.McCain since he IS a candidate. I like Mr. McCain very much but think that Mr. Bush has a better chance. He has business experience, has been a GOV for some time and seems to be doing a pretty good job at it. Maybe he could do the same for the whole country.

Well. It shows you again: If you make careless statements, you end up having some explaining to do.

Sonny
