If you have not ordered an M5 by now, forget it. They are sold out for the forseeable future. As for Ferrari, better check with your local dealer. The waiting list for the new 360 Modena is out to 18 months now. I've been on it since the summer. Getting tired of being on it. Ferrari makes around 1300 cars/year. Much easier to buy a Honda, and even get a discount <gggg>. Perhaps when the internet stocks implode things will get much better on the auto front. Right now, way too many .com IPO guys want these cars. Too bad most of them probably have no clue how to really drive...
