During a recent Kitco on line discussion one of our staff asked Bill Murphy the following
question, response is shown as well. We are not going to play a guessing game on the price of
silver this year except to say we expect it to be higher on January 3, 2001 than it is today.

Mr. Murphy has silver been held down as well as gold, and what do you feel
the potential for silver is in the short and long term?

Answer: Silver has been manipulated too. Sure as shootin. How else can one explain this lack
of movement forever. It is done on the OTC market where there is no transpapency.

I was looking for $9.78 silver all year. One thing for sure as all you silver traders know that
have been around awhile. When they give up controlling this thing it could double
quickly-maybe in a couple of weeks. We have all seen it a couple of times before.

It is a VERY tiny market and one of the big internet players that cashes in could buy up the
whole lot of it.

The initial press release mentioned several options and selling is only one of them. China would be wise to hold the metal for higher prices given the ongoing silver deficit. Perhaps this is what they expect and are just keeping the door open for future opportunities.

Has anyone else seen any of the "Hard" Silver Pandas? Rumor going around Denver is that there are a number of (some say large others say only a few oddities) silver panda coins from China that are very hard. I put a msg on Kahuna thread to Bill Fleckenstein (also of PAAS) about them, & he said he would check it out.

If true, these "pure silver coins" are not PURE silver, and draws into question the purity of the entire China silver inventory, and thus the total amount they hold, & can sell. Has anyone seen one(or more) of these hard silver coins?
