Selling could go on ...
How true, there will be positioning until various issues are re-valued according the mutual fund analysts. I'm not a good market timer, witness today, I sold RMBS at a profit to pick up a shiney pebble that was way down. Both stocks rose about the same amount by the end of the day, only I could only get less shares of the replacement (it cost more than RMBS) so on the whole I should have stayed put.

Still, as a rule of thumb I have done very well by buying stocks that I have wanted for a while but thought were too pricey for me on the second day of a large correction. That's about as good as I can get on market timing. (I never know the top but I've gotten some beauties at their 52 week lows that way).

There will be caution and some selling until the employment figures come out on Monday. That 401K money won't stay in cash forever.
