Gene, One of my few unpublished letters to Barron's said, in response to a comment that the next lousy quarter would not be Gateway's fault, "who exactly was it who held a gun to GTW's head and forced them to drop their relationship with AMD at the very time AMD is producing the best mpcs in the business?" Barron's felt I was speaking disrepectively about the Cow Co. Scamsters. Gateway took a bribe from Intel and now they are paying for it. As will other PC cos. Intel still doesn't have its act together.

However, no matter what the problems with Intel, the business business wasn't there for these cos. BMC Software also pre-announced a stinko quarter as businesses are full up of crap they bought earlier this year.
