TIVO, Blockbuster, AOL: Can we infer HDD too? From TheStreet.com Under that agreement, TiVo's personal recording software -- which allows programming to be delivered to a hard drive, recorded and then viewed at the consumer's convenience -- will become part of America Online's (AOL:Nasdaq - news) AOLTV product, which is set to be introduced by the middle of this year. Liberate will integrate the two companies' technologies. "This is a big deal for AOLTV," Bernoff said. It is equally big for TiVo. "TiVo would be much more attractive if it were automatically provided for you by your cable or satellite operator and this appears to do that," he said.
