Chicken:

I believe that if you look deeper in Globalstar, you will find that it is nothing like Iridium or ICO.

George Gilder, a very well known technical stocks investment analyst has a newsletter that is well worth the price which highlights the differences.

1. Iridium satellites cost 4 times as much to put into orbit and their life expectancy is half that of G*.

2. Iridium satellites have their 'brains' in orbit...while the G* satellites are simply relays from ground stations. Thus the G* satellites can be upgraded from a technology standpoint...Iridium cannot.

3. The overall cost of deployment has forced Iridium's cost per minute to be roughly 4 times the cost per minute for G*.

4. Iridium quality sucks. The handsets are much bigger. G* phones try to use the ground base systems first and the satellite as a backup. Preliminary indications are that this thing works much better.

I don't blame anybody who does not have a good understanding of this to equate the two companies, but I bet that if you studied this a little harder, you might very well change your mind.

This company willl either be a grand success or a total bust. There really is no middle ground. Many investors will not stomach it. I am very confident that Globalstar will not only work, but that it will be the ONLY LEO company to survive and thus have a monopoly for years to come.

George Gilder is my hero...along with Greg Powers...wherever he may be. Check out www.gildertech.com.
