Glenn, the other thing that hurt Amzn today was Mary Meeker was expecting 1bil in revenue,
instead of $650mil.

HJ,

I did not know that. One needs to be able to "play" the market full time to keep close to on top. There are people on this thread buying stocks that I have to look up just to see what they do<G>

Did you know that Bezos,Meeker and William are together over in Arizona.
I think Lizzie is there also.

Maybe Bezos can explain to all of them what happened to CDs and Videos. The press release kind of confuses me although that is common with almost every Amazon press release. They did state that 50% of the revenue came from their new product lines such as toys, tools and electronics. The other 50% came from books. That is almost a quote. I would consider CDs and videos old product lines for Amazon. I am not sure how Amazon classifies them. Anyhow, they were not mentioned??

The other issue is if revenue jumped 150% and that includes toys, tools and electronics, I wonder what the year over year growth in book sales was. One can read into the press release that book sales had to be around $325 million but I am still missing CDs and videos.

They sure confused me<G>
